Are you looking for a nice clean cruiser? Then check out this 2002 Bayliner 2655 (later labeled 265) at South Mountain Yachts. This vessel was one of Bayliners most popular smaller cruisers due to it's wide 9'6" beam: the widest in its category! This vessel named "Kanuk" is well powered with a Mercruiser 5.7, 250 HP engine and has the Bravo III outdrives with dual counter rotating props.
Starting off at the bow we see the pride of ownership with details such as the Lowrance windlass, Chrome horn, wire fender baskets and the protective canvass window coverings. At the transom there is an added 2 Scoop plumbed bait tank and additional rod holders. The cockpit is fully enclosed with the removable camper back: remove the curtains and you'll have the biminis for sun protection. Cockpit amenities include a hot & cold shower to rinse off with, a fold up transom seat (use as a combing pad while fishing) a cocktail table for refreshments and a forward/aft facing seat back. At the helm we have a full gauge package with upgraded such as a 12V outlet to charge your phone, depth sounder, windlass controls and for comfort, a tilt steering. Electronics include a Garmin 188C (Color) GPS/Fishfinder with split screen capabilities, a VHF Radio and the classic compass. Access to the lounging foredeck is via the molded in steps and through the center windshield.
Entry to the cabin is through the centerline door, and down 3 steps that are also storage areas. Bayliner has done a great job with the large side windows to allow light into the cabin: while most express cruisers are dark "down below' this cabin is bright with an "open" feeling.
To port we have a galley with a single burner Alcohol/Electric stove, a stainless steel sink with pressurized hot & cold water, a grab rail for safety and a Microwave for use at shore power. Below there is built in drawer storage and cabinets for supplies. Forward is a berth and to starboard a convertible dinette. Just pull out the forward backrest, drop the table and you have a sleeping area that is over 9' long! This "playpen area " is great for a group of kids, or a couple of adults. The mid cabin with privacy curtain, features a double wide mattress and is full beam, 9' deep: for air, light and an open feeling there is a window.
