A "fun" project - this is a 10.5 hour driving trip from Cavo to Neuchâtel. This is a time lapse video consisting of 1 photo taken every 5 seconds played here in 25fps... in 4K !

I cut off the video just before arrival at my house. It was raining pretty hard by then anyway and the footage was getting pretty crappy. The LimeFuel battery was not empty when I stopped recording – it's really great for timelapses. I would have used a smaller interval of 1-2 seconds, but I was on my last SD card for this trip and it was half full.

Workflow:

• Shot on a GoPro Hero4 Silver with a LimeFuel external battery, mounted on the windshield with sticky mount.
• 12MP images in wide view, about 9.5 hours of shooting, 1 image / 5 seconds (= about 33 metres travel distance at 120 km/h)
• Very basic editing, de-fisheyed and 4K crop in Adobe Lightroom
• Exported 6065 jpeg images at 3840 x 2160, sequentially named.
• Quicktime Pro 7 (import Image Sequence) to create the raw 4K clip.
• FCPX to add titles, music and export ProRes 422 video file (58 GB)
• Handbrake to compress for YouTube with 14 RF and constant frame rate (2.6 GB).
