Over 200 people at Kasenyi Landing Site in Katabi Town Council are now homeless following the demolition of their houses in a land row between Uganda Civil Aviation Authority, the Charles Kisitu Ffulu family and Michael Nsamba, who all claim ownership of the same land of 34 acres. The locals in this jurisdiction say that a group of hired men have been attacking them since last week using machetes to scare them off the land as they demolished their houses and confiscated property based on claims that they have not been paying rent to their landlord. It should be noted that in 2018, a fire engulfed the landing site resulting in severe loss of property, an incident that was attributed to protracted land disputes. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
