In US news and current events today, police forcibly removed a man from a bus because he was not wearing mask. The man reportedly refused to leave the bus when asked by the driver. Philadelphia Police Department say its officers were called in to assist the bus driver. According to a police spokesperson, the officers ‘ordered the male to leave the bus several times.’ After he refused, the police physically removed him. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) instituted a policy on April 7 urging passengers wear a mask . SEPTA says the incident is still under investigation and that it will no longer enforce the mandatory mask-wearing rule. The Centers for Disease Control recommends everyone wear a face covering
when they go outside.
