On the road from Ormoc to Villaba traveling the path of the eye of Typhoon Yolanda across Leyte Island, Philippines. I haven't seen any relief workers or relief trucks up here at all, nor have I been told of any by the locals. This would be a good place for private individuals and church groups to come to and help these desperate people. DO NOT TRUST SENDING YOUR MONEY TO ANY PHILIPPINE OFFICIAL, all I have heard are very bad rumors of widespread corruption concerning relief funds and commodity goods. It is better you jump on a plane with a pocket full of cash and your warm heart and come here directly to help. You will need a passport but not a visa for the first 21 days. I have a safe home base for you in Villaba (Rudy's Welding Shop across from Shell gas station) with water, but no electricity or cellphone signal.
