The leadership of the People's Democratic Party in Edo State have frowned at the alleged abandonment of the Michael Imodu College Education of Physical Education by the State Government while claiming that the government is allocating funds in a yearly basis to the Edo University Iyamo which they alleged is not a state-owned university.
PDP Chairman stated this when leaders of the party visited Owan East and Owan West Local Government areas in continuation of the sensitization.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Barrister Anselm Ojezua has condemned in strong terms, the allegations by the PDP that Edo State Government has abandoned the Michael Imoudu College of Physical Education.
Speaking with Best Mbiere in a telephone interview, Barrister Ojezua said that Governor Godwin Obaseki has continually kept to his electioneering promises to the people of the State as there are plans to upgrade the Michael Imoudu College of Physical Education.
On the allegation by the PDP that Edo University, Iyamho is a private institution, Barrister Ojezua said the PDP should visit the National Universities Commission to get first hand information of who owns the University before feeding the public with statements that are untrue.
