I found hidden treasure on Germany's largest island on the North Sea. Perfect weekend getaway spot. Contrary to popular belief of "luxury" , this island is so easy to explore especially with a bike, car or the public buses. I'm sharing some tips on some budget friendly options on the island.
This is an alternative for those who do not want to travel all the way to Italy or any exotic warm place.

I was in awe of the beautiful houses, unique dunes, the northern breeze is just so refreshing.

We visited the beaches at Westerland, Sansibar, Wenningstedt, Weststrand and you can also enjoy the beautiful sunsets with live music (at Westerland). It's also perfect for families, and water sports lovers :) :
