Ahh Bad Company 2. Bit of a nostalgia fest, but for bloody good reason.

Released on the 2nd of March, 2010, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 threw the Battlefield series back into the mainstream - especially within the console market.
Developed by DICE and published by EA, Bad Company 2 didn't set out to compete directly with Call of Duty (arguably at the height of its popularity with Modern Warfare 2) but still did tremendously well commercially.

It holds a special place in my heart as one of my favourite games not just growing up, but simply ever. I thought I'd have a quick look at some of the reasons as to why BC2 appealed to me so much and whether or not it can still hold its own today.
