This area was such a fun overnight destination. The day we arrived we parked near the entrance of the Wyoming State Historic Bath House. There is a huge public park, hot springs fountain, beautiful rock formations and a walking path in the area. After reading about the history of the TeePee Fountain, we explored the colorful terraces along the Big Horn River. Here water from the mineral hot springs flows into the free public bath house at a constant 135 degrees. Choose from an indoor or outdoor pool and enjoy a free 20 minute soak. One word of advice - wear a swimming suit that you don't mind having smell like sulfur! If you'd rather splash in the river, there was a boat dock and shallow water entry on the Big Horn River by the terraces.
