The quality of the product is very good for the price, but the purchasing process is ridiculous. Make sure you have plenty of time to spare and a great sense of humor, because you will soon come to realize the language issues on the site and in correspondence and the shipping times both are consistent with the fact that this will be shipping not from the U.S. or U.K., but from Pakistan.
A week and a half into the two weeks or so I was supposed to expect for shipping I had not gotten any notification about the product and the belt was in the status "Stitching in progress" on the website. I reached out and only then was I informed the belt was on backorder... oh yeah and totally handmade and being stitched. On the plus side, the person I spoke with absolutely agreed to expedite the shipping due to the lack of communication, so, win right?
The belt arrived on time and in good condition, though not without another few worrying days in between. In the meantime I found the section on the site that said orders would each be eligible for a $20 refund for posting a video review of the product which would be processed within two days of notifying the site of the review posted. Awesome, right? This belt may have been an adventure but it would be a very affordable one!
Another ten days passed before I got a response saying that this only applies to orders over $35, which is fine, but this was not specified. Nonetheless the good people at the site offered a $15 refund for my efforts, which I felt was a bit petty since this was again a mistake on their part but thought it would be equally petty to argue, and they had stepped to correcting the earlier mistake, so I was glad to accept.
Over the next week or so four things happened in exactly this order with a day or more in between each: I received the email asking I fill out this review, I received the first (and only) official tracking notice that my belt had shipped, I received the $15 refund, and I received an email stating I had been automatically signed up for a newsletter.
Don't think I'm going to maintain that subscription... but hey, they didn't take my advice on stating the price requirements for that refund on the site to avoid future miscommunication so they've got that going for them on your next order. Happy shopping!
