The four major electric utilities that comprise the Alaska Railbelt are working together to pursue federal funding for a series of transmission and infrastructure projects that will increase grid capacity and reliability so that the lowest cost electron can be transmitted from wherever it is generated, from whatever source, to wherever it is needed, whenever it is needed.
