My Pledge for Peace Campaign for Silencing the Guns
A pledge to end all forms of violence and set in motion a grassroots civil society campaign to promote peace was launched on Monday, 7 December 2020, by a coalition of community activists, artists, victims of war, academics, business leaders, and African youth. The campaign which coincided with the 14th Extraordinary Summit on Silencing the Guns, responds to the African Union’s call to African citizens to make peace a personal responsibility. The centre piece of the coalition’s pledge for peace is a short animation on Silencing the Guns, produced in collaboration with the African Union.
