Tips for leveling and the campaign!

TL;DW:
- Pick any class / skill you like, don't care too much about efficiency at first
- Vendor blue items unidentified for Transmutes, vendor these for Wisdom Scrolls
- Logging out will return you to town and save Portal Scrolls
- Follow the directions of the map, click on a quest on the right side to have it highlighted
- Do the necessary optional quests for skill points and lab trials when in their zones (see below)
- Enter the Labyrinth after act 3, act 7 & act 10 to build your ascendancy
- Focus on getting the right colors/links for your main skill first, preferably 4 links in gloves/helm/boots
- Don't worry about wasting currency during the campaign, you will find plenty in endgame
- Focus on movement speed (boots), life, resists (75% cap), then other stats that might be useful
- Grab a Quicksilver Flask from the quest in Tidal Island near the start of act 1
- Buy upgraded life/mana flasks from vendors in town or pick them up from the ground when you unlock new levels
- Items on the ground will show you which sockets/links they have with little colored icons next to their name
- Buy skill gems you want from vendors in town, every time you get them as a reward, you will unlock more (mostly act 1, 2 and 3 and in act 6 after clearing Twilight Strand you have access to all)
- Use the crafting bench in your hideout to optimize your setup when you are lacking key stats
- Focus on killing big trash packs and blue elites, skip yellows if you can't finish them quickly
- On act boss fights, focus more on dodging/surviving than dps to learn the fights, you die very easily
- In act 2, on the quest Deal with the Bandits, you should either kill all bandits (+2 passive points) or help Alira (+15% resists and other bonuses), it's the only choice you make during the campaign, can be changed later if you like
- After finishing the campaign, you can type /passives to see if you've missed any skill points
