Dr. Brenda Hookenson has dedicated the majority of her professional career to the community of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. After graduating with her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1974, Brenda's postgraduate training included rotations in anesthesia at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre as well as obstetrics and gynecology at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.

Since 1976, Brenda has maintained a comprehensive family practice, now located at Associate Medical Clinic in Prince Albert. She is an active staff member at Victoria Hospital where she has provided services in emergency care, anesthesia and obstetrics as well as surgical assisting. Brenda is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Family Medicine with the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.

Brenda's patients and colleagues praise her for her clinical skills, sound judgment and empathetic yet objective approach to patient management. They applaud her professional compassion and commitment, her frank and common sense approach in all situations and the tremendous service that Brenda generously provides to her community.

Brenda participates in numerous medical organizations and committees, including the Saskatchewan College of Family Physicians, Saskatchewan Medical Association and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. She enjoys participating as a medical volunteer, having been involved in Prince Albert ringette and fastball organizations as well as the Canada Summer Games and national curling.

Brenda is married to Tom and is thankful for the tremendous support she receives from her husband as well as her children, Rachelle and Quinton. When she has time, she enjoys curling and golfing.
