Hello, and welcome back to the channel!

On July 22, 2021, the Burrard Chinook entered service! We have been waiting for this since 2019. Unfortunately, the global health crisis can be blamed for most of the delays.

The Burrard Chinook is Vancouver's 5th SeaBus. In the future, the plan is to re-instate 10-minute peak frequency across Vancouver Harbour while using the oldest vessel, the Burrard Beaver, as a spare.

The Chinook is the first SeaBus to feature a fullwrap advertisement. This wrap is an indigenous artwork that pays homage to the Chinook Salmon for which the vessel is named.

The first revenue voyage took place not long after the conclusion of the media event. There was still a presence of TransLink personnel and Indigenous leaders on the first revenue sailing.
