Speaker Biography:
For the last 15 + years working in technology Brendan has started and grown multiple investor backed businesses, raised over $20MM in Venture backing, negotiated and managed a technology transfer out of a 2B+ healthcare system and ran a successful turnaround (6x revenue and 4x margin in 2.5 years). He regularly mentors current and aspiring entrepreneurs as they work to find product-market fit, fundraise, and navigate the ebbs and flows of people management through rapid growth. He has built Enterprise SaaS business as well as a Data Science/Data Engineering heavy software consultancy. Before getting into technology he was a Paramedic and a Mental Health Technician for many years, participating in one of the first rollouts of EHR technology in the US.
Nathan Clark is the founder and CEO of Ganymede, the modern data platform and cloud infrastructure for science. Prior to Ganymede, Nathan was product manager for several of Benchling's data products, including the Insights BI tool and Machine Learning team. Before that, Nathan has a background in machine learning and data systems across financial technology and general technology. His academic background is a bachelor's of science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Emerson Huitt is currently the CEO of Snthesis, Inc. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Emerson is a distinguished figure in the realm of life science data management. With a rich experience spanning 14 years, he has been at the forefront of architecting and deploying state-of-the-art technology solutions. His professional trajectory ranges from pioneering tech research and development in venture-backed startups to spearheading expansive enterprise projects in renowned corporations. A hallmark of Emerson's career has been his ability to design innovative technology platforms that not only enhance business value and efficiency but also set benchmarks in the life science and healthcare domains. His strategic foresight is evident in his emphasis on technology roadmaps that champion swift, iterative enhancements while retaining the agility to meet evolving demands.
