I’m making this post because I see too many people harvest ramps in a non sustainable way. It apparently takes 7-10 years for a ramp to reach maturity, and if you dig up the entire bulb/roots it kills the entire plant. Harvesting them in this fashion keeps the roots in the ground and allows them to grow back every year. If we want to enjoy the resource, is our responsibility to respect the resource.
