Hi, my name is Katie, known as myhitlife.
From my previous SAP Q&A session I had a DM on instagram regarding how to get Sales & Distribution Certified.
I'm going to talk high level regarding SAP so anyone can easily follow along. SAP Certification is split out into Cloud Certification (Multiple Tenant i.e. all within the FIORI front end even configuration) and On Premise (Private Cloud or On Premise where you have a backend for configuration which is tied to the FIORI front end used then for end users). When doing a certification you have to take into account the following:
- What industry do you intend to work in? Example, here I am talking about Automotive so I needed to ask a colleague currently on an automotive project it is eaily tailored to standard SAP? Or does it contain more WRICEFs? In general, industries which can be standardise then SAP multiple tenant cloud solution is a good way to go. However, if the industry need more flexibility (more complicated ABAP developments) then an On Premise or Private Cloud solution is the way to go.
- What is the purpose of the certification? Do you want to get a certification to move from being an end user to an SAP Functional Consultant? Then you actually won't need to be certified. Many Consultants are not certified. Experience in general within the UK outweight certification. Graduates usally go down a certfiication path to add more value to the company. It is not a must. You could alternatively upskill yourself by looking at courses on

Overall, SAP certification information can be found in the below:

Please check the learning path associated to each exam within the Learning Hub. When I did my Procurement certification I purchase 3 cloud attempts which allowed me to do any certification with that. If you need any more advice please DM me and I will do my best to find you the answers.
SD paths:
[ Ссылка ] 1709 is a later version, but it requires previous SD ERP certification. However, if you check the learning journey make sure to do the initial SD modules. If you do not feel there is enough information there you may want to consider the recommend ERP 6 training. And then upskilling with 1709.
As I mentioned I have not done SD certification myself, but I am happy to use the contacts at work to find you these answers. Even for myself it takes time to research so I can understand how it would be difficult for others! Google is generally awesome for material on SAP and even in my day job I use it! It just requires us to search a few more extra hours. Please always feel free to reach out.
