“My style of dance is very much informed by the structure of Lagos. It’s so many chaotic differences, but somehow there’s an order to the chaos.”

For our latest editorial video, ‘Lagos in Motion’, we met up with Lagos-based dancers Ukalina Opuwari, the founder of Boogie bee Entertainment, and Hermes Iyele to find out more about what movement means to them. To a soundtrack by the one and only Lady Donli the pair demonstrate their individual styles and discuss the positive, expressive, and powerful potential of their artform.
