Can you milk jug winter sow native plants? We have started the process. Check back in May or June for the reveal. The CITWC Nature Park wooded area has very little low lying ground cover plants, especially natives. In an attempt to increase and encourage growth of such woodland plants such as wild geranium, spring beauty, wild columbine, I am doing winter milk jug sowing to increase the germination rate without spending a lot of money by casting out the seeds which has a much lower germination rate. These plants will be planted in areas where the invasive plant species such as bush honeysuckle, privit, buckthorn and autumn olive trees have been removed. This should increase the beauty of the forest in the nature park. This is my first attempt at winter milk jug sowing. I will follow up later with the reveal when I open the jugs.
I found a great how-to do the milk jugs here: [ Ссылка ]
