Forget everything you've heard about Batumi. Kobuleti is without a doubt Georgia's Greatest beach town! 🇬🇪

We managed to bag a room with private bathroom literally a minute walk to beautiful Kobuleti beach and the best part is the room cost only £7 a night what a bargain!

I go for a walk down the Kobuleti seafront beach promenade and talk about the towns history before spotting a hidden soviet mosaic and checking out old abandoned hotels.

A fisherman called me over to try sell me some of his fresh fish he had caught that day from the boot of his car and was a friendly guy but we didn't need any.

Next headed over to Kobuleti farmers market which was super relaxed, bought a few things before getting dragged into a shop by a legend who poured me a shot of homemade super strong chacha aswell as giving me a grape as a kicker. This bloke had definitely been drinking chacha already thus Sunday morning but was a right character and showed us Georgian hospitality.

I grabbed some awful stale bakery snacks before heading down to the beach for the afternoon on what seemed to be the last sunny day of 2022.

The pebble beach here is stunning and the sea was so inviting despite the cold water and big jellyfish all over the place, I headed in for a refreshing dip.

To round off the day we headed for a sunset walk again on the kobuleti promenade, found an immense 3D soviet mosaic in the central park, then went for some cheap hearty Cutlets and mash for tea before calling it a day.

Kobuleti is an amazing place and in my opinion Georgia's Greatest Beach, tourists should definitely look further than Batumi and Tbilisi because for me this is the real Georgia.
