We experience a Cradle Mountain snow storm in Tasmania! During a three day Aussie road trip, we visit and hike through Tasmania's most epic national parks including experiencing a snow storm at Cradle Mountain, Freycinet National Park (aka Wineglass Bay) and Cataract Gorge in Launceston. For this long weekend we based ourselves centrally in Launceston where we hired a car and travelled through Tasmania to each
location on the day shooting video and photographs as we went.
Locations in Tasmania, Australia:
Cradle Mountain - Amazing location where you could really spend a more than a day. Our visit here saw some spectacular changes in weather where we started with a reasonably sunny day and ended up with some intense snow!
Freycinet National Park - This place is much bigger than expected, don't come here just for Wineglass Bay. There is much more to be seen. Once again an easy multi day visit if you have the time. Make sure you check the coastal lighthouse out for the awesome sunset view (as seen here in this video).
PS - Massive Shout out to the Freycinet Park Rangers here for finding my lost GoPro Camera that fell off a cliff!
Cataract Gorge - Great little piece of nature tucked away next to Launceston city, a quick drive, taxi, or even walk. A great one to tick off in half a day when you have a flight leaving in the afternoon.
