It is always a thrill for us when the Humpbacks come close to our boat on our Divine Dolphin Tours out of Drake Bay , Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula..
On this day when we first found the whales, several males were chasing the female and her baby and they found protection with our boat. Once things calmed down and all but one male (the "winner") remained, they continued to come very close to our boat, giving us a fascinating insight into the tender relationship between the mom and baby both above the water and below.
