ملعقتان طعام سكر
كوب وثلث (320 غرام) ماء دافئ
نصف كوب (120 مل) زيت نباتي
مقادير خلطة الزعتر:
كوب ونص (250 غرام) بندورة مفرومة
ثلاثة ارباع كوب (90 غرام) بصل مفروم
ثلاثة ارباع ملعقة صغيرة ملح
نصف كوب (40 غرام) زعتر
ثلثي كوب (160 مل) زيت زيتون
Ingredients:
4 cups (520 g) all_purpose flour
11/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp instant yeast
2 tbsp (25 g) white sugar
1 1/3 cups (320 g) warm water
1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable or canola oil.
Zaatar mix Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups (250 g) chopped tomatoes
3/4 cup (90 g) chopped onions
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup (40 g) zaatar
2/3 cup (160 ml) extra virgin olive oil
🌹Instructions🌹
1. In a medium bowl, sift the flour, then mix in the salt. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine the yeast and sugar. Pour in the warm water and mix well. Mix in the oil.
3. Add the flour to the wet ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined. Cover with kitchen towel and let rest for 10 minutes.
4. Knead the dough by hand until it is smooth about 5 minutes. Form dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled mixing bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place kitchen towel on top. Let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until double in size.
5. Divide the dough into 18 equal parts (50 to 52 g) and place onto a lined pan. Shape to a ball. Cover with a piece of plastic and let rest for 15 minutes.
6. Roll out each dough with a rolling pin into a disk and transfer to an ungreased half sheet pan. You'll need 3 half sheet pans (6 dough in each pan).
7. Press with your fingers on each dough to fix the shape to a nice and perfect circle without pressing on the edges.
8. Spread 1 1/2 tablespoon of the zaatar mixture on each dough. when you're done, let the manakish dough rest in the pans for at least 15 minutes.
9. Bake in preheated 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) oven on the bottom rack for 8 to 10 minutes.
10. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
