This 1 Rupee banknote released in 1969 on occasion of Centennial Birth of Mahatma Gandhi under I G Patel's signature who was the Special Secretary, Ministry of Finance. The banknote is in violet and multicolored and the coin image of Gandhi (1869-1948) with 13 languages on the reverse.

The banknotes with I G Patel's signature and plain inset are valued at approx Rs 75 in UNC condition.
