We spent New Year's Eve at the Excelsior Palace in Taormina. The entire town was very beautifully lit up. The views from Taormina are always spectacular but with the Christmas lights even more magical. We also visited the library with a collection of Christian, Muslim and Jewish items from all over Sicily .
