One among the Centre's new law is the contract farming law. It's
👉voluntary
👉already in existence in parts
👉is usually between big farmers and big corporates
👉likely to ignore small and marginal farmers with small land holdings
👉has safeguards, at least on paper
👉 largely for crops not likely to be sold in APMC mandis.
👉What could be wrong here?
Are farmers groups against this law as well in equal measure.
