In this detailed review of Suzuki Swift DLX Automatic, we have extensively tested it's capabilities against it's modern rivals. Although, Swift DLX is the biggest hatchback locally assembled in Pakistan, however, due to it's dated interior and exterior, there are other alternatives in the small hatchback segment. Pak Suzuki launched Swift in 2010 and it was received fairly well in the local market. There were a few incremental changes introduced in Swift as well. Main changes included an automatic variant and a navigation system with rear view camera.
The Swift in this review is the range topping DLX variant however, since it's a few years old, therefore, it lacks the LCD screen and rear view camera. It has a 1.3 Litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 92 HP & 116 NM of Torque. This engine is mated to a 4-Speed conventional Automatic transmission, that takes this Swift from 0-100 KM/H in 13.5 Seconds (tested).
The fuel economy of Swift is quite underwhelming as compared to it's JDM rivals. It gives around 10 KM/L in City and 15 KM/L on highway. However, this fuel economy figure could vary based on your driving style. Suzuki Swift has completed 12 years of existence in the Pakistani market and it's new model is expected to launch in 2022. If Pak Suzuki launches the latest generation of Swift then it would be a great option for hatchback buyers in Pakistan.
