A series of tougher measures have been imposed in Bolton to stem a surge in Covid-19 cases, the health secretary, Matt Hancock, announced in a statement to the House of Commons on Tuesday. The new restrictions include restaurants and pubs being restricted to takeaways, and venues being forced to close from 10pm to 5am.
