Do you need antifreeze if it never freezes where you live? Steve explains why you do need it, a little history, and some of the other things antifreeze does besides not freeze (as soon as water does).
It seems like, with a name like "anti freeze", the purpose would to simply prevent freezing, but in addition to the freezing point getting lower, the boiling point gets higher. It also has other benefits that water alone cannot provide, even if you live in Florida where it seems like it's summer all year long!
