Reports indicate that 73 people have lost their lives in this natural disaster. Rescue teams have discovered 29 bodies in the turbulent waters of the Teesta River, while an alarming 140+ individuals remain missing, their fate uncertain. The flood's impact on the armed forces has also been significant, with 8 army jawans among the casualties. The situation is dire, with homes and infrastructure severely damaged.
