City Green present's its first video in a series of Eat Better Tonight! Workshops for you to view at home. Eat Better Tonight! Workshops are the City Green’s Farm Stand’s are one component of our educational and community outreach. Each workshops offers participants a holistic approach to increase what we call “Local Food and Veggie Literacy." We cover topics such as food justice and “healthy food deserts”, the environmental, economic and nutritional benefits of eating local, and answer the question that everyone wants to know… “what to do with all of those farm-fresh veggies ?” with a cooking demonstration and food tasting. Strawberry Radish Salsa Recipe
Ingredients:
- strawberries
- radishes
- basil or mint
- honey
- lemon juice
Directions:
Finely chop radishes into small pieces. Then dice strawberries and mix together with radishes. Finely chop a few leaves of fresh basil or mint and sprinkle on top. Finally mix together honey and lemon juice to create a dressing and coat the strawberries and radishes. Toss to coat. Serve with chips, crackers, sweet cinnamon pita chips, or over fish or chicken.
