Deep Water tanks have the ability to traverse water, in this case from LST etc close to shore, this is different to the DD tanks with canvas skirts launched kM from shore.
This video shows a Scratch build of a 1/35 M4 Sherman deep wading/fording Version, as used on #D-day.
Basic model is #tamiya M4 Early.

Canvas is milliput and baby wipes.
