The Painted Churches of Moldavia is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site in the north of Romania, located in the region of Moldavia. It's a series of eight Romanian orthodox churches largely from the 16th century, and they all feature absolutely magnificent frescoes and paintings on the exterior. These Romanian painted monasteries are fantastically well preserved and have some incredible details to match the vibrant colours - let's have a look!
