These video clips were shot with a Hubsan Zino in 4K mode and unprocessed (i.e., directly taken from the original without post-processing). The Zino is stable and its camera is rather good with minimal barrel distortion, although it is not in the same league of the Mavic 2 Pro or even the Air 2. The downside is that it seems no way to adjust exposure and can easily cause flare and ghosts. In the setting sun, the white balance is too warm to my taste and white balance could change suddenly.
Other than its stabilized 4K camera, nothing much to say about the drone itself. Hubsan claims the control range being 1km, but I rarely get to that far. Mostly, 300m to 500m is reasonable. The worst part of the Zino is its very limited and very poor wireless transmission and its poorly written app. The app requires a major update. For example, when you are flying a flight mode such as Waypoint, the photo/video icon disappears from the app. Should this happen, you must go back to the Home screen and re-enter the drone to start recording. The restrictions of Waypoint in the app are way too many such radius, total flying length (default = 1km but I could not set to 1.5m). Thus, the total distance you can fly in the Waypoint mode is 1km to 1.5km. This is ridiculous. Worse, if you forget to take the camera cover off, the app will repeatedly warn you that even though you take the cover off after hearing the warning. This warning will go away only if you turn the drone off and on. The app also mistakenly tells you that the USB cable is not connected even though it *IS* connected before the remote controller is turned on.
Anyway, I fell that Hubsan rushed the Zino out to compete against the Mavic Air and the later Mavic Mini. As a result, the drone is not well polished. Now the Zino 2 was out sometime ago. Unfortunately, my first flight of the Zino 2 scared me because right after the Zino 2 took off it started spiraling. As a result, I had to fly it to a high attitude in order to stabilize the Zino 2 and finally landed it. Then, the Zino 2+ was released. I ordered one and is waiting for its arrival. I am not sure how long Hubsan will take to make a really competitive drone against any DJI versions, the Mavic Mini included. Let us wait and see.
In summary, the Zino is good if you don't fly it far away. To do some real work, buy a DJI or similar drone, because the Zino is *NOT* for prime time yet. I think it is being discontinued.
One more thing to remind you. Hubsan's service is so poor, and IMO is close to *0*. I am very disappointed.
