The Copernicus Maritime Surveillance Service supports Member States and EU bodies to get a better understanding, and improved monitoring, of activities at sea.

The service is implemented by EMSA on behalf of the European Commission.

It fuses data from earth observation satellites with a wide range of other data, including from our own systems.

This way, we assist national authorities all across the EU in their daily work. We also assist EU bodies and missions, including the European Union Naval Force Operation ATALANTA (EUNAVFOR ATALANTA).
