The Senate Government Operations Committee held a hearing on SB660, the bill that would allow Prairie Plant Systems of Canada to build 16 medical marijuana grow facilities in Michigan with 1,000 plants each if the feds change the drug to Schedule 2. The hearing was chaired by Sen. Randy Richardville, co-sponsor of the bill. Chuck Perricone, the former GOP Speaker of the House of Representatives, was the only person at the hearing to speak in favor of passing this new law. Perricone now represents Prairie Plant Systems.
