Jawaharlal Nehru University, the country's most famous or rather in the news for the most controversies, has achieved the title of 20th best university in the world, leaving behind all the big universities of the country. JNU has achieved this position in the world ranking in the subject of Development Studies. Apart from JNU, 68 more universities have made it to the top 100 in this list of World QS University Ranking.
