Revolvers are obsolete in comparison to modern semiautomatic pistols for three main reasons.
1. Capacity
a. Modern semi autos have an average capacity around 17 rounds.
2. Easy of carry...extra ammo
a. An additional magazine holds extra ammunition securely and is very comfortable to carry.
3. Speed of reloads
a. The numbers of complex actions that it takes to reload a semi-auto are by my count three. The numbers of complex actions that it takes to reload a revolver are six or more.
