Marugame Udon serves high quality Japanese food that is a lot cheaper than it looks. Their Udon is freshly made, you can watch them prepare your bowl of Udon as they have an open kitchen where you can see the noodles being stretched and boiled right in front of you. They offer different varieties of Udon, Rice Bowls, Tempura sides, and Omusubi. We ordered Chicken Paitan Udon because the Spicy Pork Udon and Beef Ontama Bukkake Udon wasn't available at the time. The Chicken Paitan's broth is a very light, creamy, and a fatty chicken soup that is perfect with the thick and chewy Udon noodles. The braised chicken was succulent and has a rich savory taste that matches the very light broth. It is accompanied by a perfectly soft-boiled egg, chives, tempura crumbs and black pepper to complete the mouth watering bowl of their Chicken Paitan Udon.
To top it all off, their food is great and has a relatively low price for a Japanese food. We will definitely come back to try the other dishes in their menu!
