The battle for West Bengal peaks after Suvendu Adhikari resigns from the position of TMC MLA. He first quit from the Cabinet Ministry and then the MLA’s post. According to sources, Adhikari may join BJP soon.
Reacting to the rumours, BJP welcomed the move and claimed that ‘Suvendu’s resignation shows that he doesn’t want to stay in TMC’. BJP’s Mukul Roy further stated that ‘Will welcome him if he joins BJP. TMC cadre feeling suffocated’.
Meanwhile, CM Mamata Banerjee accuses BJP of trying to coerce TMC leaders to join their party. She also claimed that AIMIM Chief Assuddin Owaisi has taken a bribe from BJP.
