Alabama Republican Congressman Mo Brooks has been served in a lawsuit filed by California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell over the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Brook's wife was given the paperwork at their home Sunday. According to Brooks, Swalwell’s process server unlawfully snuck into their home in Alabama.
“Well, Swalwell FINALLY did his job, served complaint,” Brooks tweeted. “HORRIBLE Swalwell’s team committed a CRIME by unlawfully sneaking INTO MY HOUSE & accosting my wife!”

The lawsuit seeks to hold Brooks partially accountable for the storming of the Capitol as Congress attempted to confirm the Electoral College results of the presidential election. The suit claims Brooks, former President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Rudy Giuliani broke several laws by inciting the insurrection.
