Engwe T14 folding Electric bike review
- 250-watt motor, so UK road legal
- 10ah 48v battery, which is very good for such a small bike
- Foldable will fit in your car boot
- it provides a good value with a good price point for most users
- Good first e-bike for someone
- 14-inch wheels and tires
- Has some suspension for comfort and a comfortable seat and adjustable seat post.
This bike is a great small ebike. It is single speed, so the bike does not have any gears and works using pedal assist, which means the electric motor kicks in when you pedal. It does climb hills, but not easy. It is a great bike for a city commute or if you in a caravan at the seaside. This bike is good for short journeys.
The only downside is it is pretty heavy, but that does mean the frame is very solid as its made of steel, so there is no chance of the frame failing. If you're in the market for a reliable electric bike that is foldable and portable, look no further than the Engwe T14.
What you get
You do not get a full set of lights. However, you do get a front light that you can use from the handlebars. However, there is no rear light.
The bike does come with 2 keys for you to lock the bike. The key works pretty well at turning the bike off and on,
This bike offers impressive specifications that make it ideal for commuting, urban exploration, and leisurely rides. But what about the cost? The Engwe T14 comes with a reasonable price tag

While this may seem like a considerable investment upfront, the Engwe T14 provides excellent value for its cost. With features like triple shock absorbers, an LED display, mechanical disc brakes, and a 250W high-speed brushless motor, the bike ensures a smooth and comfortable ride on different terrains. This bike does have a throttle. I am not sure if it can be disabled, as technically throttles are not legal in the UK, but I doubt it would land you in much trouble, throttels are a bit of a grey area.
Furthermore, the 48V 10AH battery offers an impressive range of up to 20 miles in electric mode or 50 miles in moped mode. However, there's no point in worrying about damages such as those since Engwe T14 has durable components that will last you years after your purchase. The low maintenance requirements of this brand add an extra selling point, since you won’t find yourself constantly visiting mechanics every few weeks.
It takes between 4-6 hours to fully charge the battery, you obviously get a charger with the bike to recharge the battery.
You can save money by avoiding commuting bills and profits plus keeping the seasonal needs for conveyance amid the pandemic. For instance, you might pay a hefty amount of money for a car or use other forms of transportation like taxis, bike rentals, and bus fares to commute to the city. However, investing in the Engwe T14 Electric Folding Bike can help you meet all your transportation needs without any struggle.
You'll enjoy the convenience of knowing that, as long as you have your bike, you don't need anything else to get around. Now that we've covered purchasing the Engwe T14 Electric Folding Bike, let's dive into some of the accessories that you may want to consider with your purchase.
