President Uhuru Kenyatta has made changes to his cabinet. In a state of the nation address from Mombasa, the head of state dropped Mwangi Kiunjuri who was Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and replaced him with Peter Munya who has been moved from the ministry of trade. Tuesday’s shake up also sealed the fate of Henry Rotich after Ukur Yattani was confirmed as a substantive cabinet secretary for Treasury. In the changes, Former Nyeri Senator Mutahi Kagwe made a comeback after he was nominated as Cabinet Secretary for Health while environment PS Betty Maina has been elevated to be Cabinet Secretary for Industrialization.
