📍ABOUT DHAMPUS 📍
Dhampus village of Nepal (1650 m) is situated on the north from the Pokhara valley which offers gorgeous views of golden rice terraces and the spectacular mountains. Hiking to this village offers a wonderful view of mountain, nature, landscape and awe-inspiring scenery. A different class of migratory birds visit the village of Dhampus, making it a seasonal bird-watching spot.
The Gurungs are inhabitants to Dhampus village of Nepal. Tourists usually stay here as a halt point while doing trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The main source of income of the inhabitants is the movement of people, or we can say- tourism. Dhampus hiking is suitable for short holidays and people in Pokhara who wants to have overnight hiking near the bustling city. This hiking route is much ideal because, in the Annapurna region, Dhampus hill is one of the best viewpoints of Nepal. From Dhampus, one can also clutch the outstanding view of Pokhara and the landscape gets even better as the sun sets down.
Journey to Dhampus village is one of the best activity to do in the Pokhara of Nepal. The hiking begins from Phedi village, around 30 minutes of drive from the attractive lakeside of Pokhara valley and the uphill hiking begin. As you move higher, you get to see the astounding panoramic views and mind-blowing sceneries. When you leave the lush greenery of the jungle, you will have a little hike to make to reach Dhampus. You can see excellent views of enormous Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna Himalayan Range. Commonly known as fishtail mountain (6991m), Machhapuchre resembles the shape of a fish’s tail.
The village is picturesque, amazing and offers the best tranquil in the Himalayan ambience. Dhampus village is a perfect place for your overnight hiking with an essence of village tour and best version of sunrise in the morning.
