Hey everyone, we recently completed this 1JZ VVTi swap into our gun apprentice, Glenn's car.
While we have done plenty of wiring work for conversion such as these, we have not undertaken the mechanical side of this exact swap ourselves before so we thought we would try film and document the process to show everyone what we did and FINALLY get a video up.
And for those of you wondering WHY we Glenn went with the 1JZ VVTi, well it was very simple. We had a reputable business selling the full dressed motor with everything needed and start up warranty. It was less than two minutes drive away. And the price was right. To turbo the factory engine even a basic setup was going to cost more. A 2JZ-GTE was going to cost substantially more again.
