This read aloud video was made by Mary Ellen Ariotti, a certified Kindergarten teacher in Pinellas County, FL. Most of her book videos include Higher Order Questions for students to think about on topics such as Vocabulary, Character, Setting, Events, Sequencing, Problem / Solution, Character Feelings, Similarities and Differences among books by the same author (author studies), or Early Reading Strategies such as Get Your Mouth Ready, Look at the Picture, Look for Chunks You Know (Chunk it!) Slide through the Word, What Makes Sense?, and Skip over it/ Go Back and Reread. Sight Words are focused upon in Shared Reading or Word Work videos, with models students can use to visualize word building skills.
