The Hallberg-Rassy 45 was the first of the German Frers-designed Hallberg-Rassy yachts and heralded a new era for the boat-building powerhouse. Introduced in 1988, the design retained classic Hallberg-Rassy features and introduced the new Frers-designed interiors and high-volume hull design with the now HR signature centre cockpit and spacious master cabin aft. Remaining in production until 1996, 71 yachts left the factory.

GINNY has proven a reliable offshore cruiser, taking her previous owners on extended cruises between the Baltic and the Red Sea. Her current owners enjoyed a summer cruiser south to France and along the Atlantic coast this summer before returning North via Ireland to Oban.
