Insider mediators can have a real impact on some of the smaller, longer term conflicts. Meredith Preston McGhie argues that international organizations can support them by providing some of the tools they need in order to be as effective as possible and by working with them through some of the technical ideas. She also argues that international organizations may offer a protected space for insider mediators to reflect and strategize.
