I think that my brown rice tastes so much better in the Instant Pot, and it uses less salt. Enjoy!
UPDATE 8-25-16: I cooked the rice for 23 minutes instead of 22 and I liked the texture even better this time. Everything else is exactly the same.
1 c. brown basmati rice (I get mine at Trader Joe's)
1 c. plus 2 Tb. water (this is the updated amount which works better than the 1 1/4 c. water)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. earth balance or your favorite vegan butter
1 small dry bay leaf
I cook it for 22 min on manual and leave it for 10 min more on "Keep Warm" mode. Then I turn off the IP and leave it to release the pressure naturally then I open it. Or you can just turn it off once it's done and then let the pressure release naturally and then open it. Thanks for watching!!! :)
